Pinehurst is a registered residential care home for people with learning disabilities, opened in 1995.

There are 2 units with 9 bedrooms in total. It is situated in a quiet residential area of Eastbourne close to the town centre.

Each unit has its own  separate lounge, dining room and kitchen area, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and WC's. There is a separate laundry room with a laundry person who is employed to wash and iron the residents' own personal laundry.

The Residential Care Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Support Workers and Keyworkers, are all responsible for preparing Care Plans for each resident.

In the period between the residents arrival and formal care plan, residente are supported with regard to daily living tasks, the care element and finance. Staff assess the needs of the individual and construct a Care Plan in conjunction with Social Services and the Community Learning Disability Team.
